Bengaluru: Three family members of a health officer from the Bommanahalli zone succumbed to COVID 19 infection. His relatives alleged that delay in getting beds and treatment as the cause of death.
The deceased are his 70 years old father, 66 years old mother, and 49 years old brother in law.”His father died on Monday. His brother in law died on Wednesday while his mother on Thursday,” informed family members. “The officer is now being treated in a private hospital,” added family members.
Sampath, a relative of the health officer informed the media that all the three didn’t get beds in the hospital on time. “We paid a price for the negligence of the hospital,” he charged.
According to the family, the health officer himself took his family members to various hospitals for the treatment. “However in most of the hospitals beds are denied. They got beds only after family held a protest in front of a city hospital,” they explained.
