Tigala community leaders lodge police complaint against novelist SL Bhyrappa

Bengaluru: Tigala community members registered a police case against novelist SL Bhyrappa at Devanahalli police station over his statements on Draupadi, wife of Pandavas in Mahabharatha epic.

In their complaint community leaders claimed that Draupadi of Mahabharatha belongs to their caste and by making baseless statements on her, Bhyrappa hurt their sentiments.

SC Chandrappa, director, state Tigalara Sangha was part of the delegation which met the police officers at the station.

The community leaders urged the Bhyrappa to apologise for his statement in public immediately as they will hold a protest otherwise.
