Bengaluru: All the 16 existing MPs will get tickets to contest the coming Lok Sabha election, said B S Yeddyurappa. The achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paved the way for the BJP victory and party will come back to power again this term, said the former CM.
Reports say that the BJP core committee meeting will be held on March 15. On March 16, the committee will be travelling to Delhi and on the same day the first list of the candidates may be announced. All the 16 parliamentarians are likely to get tickets including Shobha Karandlaje, he said. The list of candidates are being prepared for other constituencies, he added.
Yeddyurappa said that Modi had fulfilled his promises to the people by promoting overall development of the country. “The public is getting many facilities and the monetary benefits are coming directly to their bank accounts. There is no allegation of corruption on any minister. The borders of the country are being guarded well. Now the major countries of the world are looking up to India”, he said.
“The PM has given a befitting reply to Pakistan. What the Congress government could not achieve in 60 years, BJP has achieved in 5 years. The country has reached 5th place from the 11th place in terms of economic development under BJP rule”, he claimed.
Speaking about the Karnataka government, Yeddyurappa said, “Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy promised loan waiver and became chief minister. However, in 9 months he has waived off only Rs 4.5 thousand crores of loans. This government is cheating people.”
Speaking about the seat sharing tussle in Mandya, he said that the state BJP was watching Sumalatha’s moves and accordingly, will discuss the matter with the leaders of the party.
