Bengaluru: Hirekerur Taluk Health Officer (THO) Dr. Makandar has been suspended for administering Covid 19 vaccine to agriculture minister BC Patil at his residence.
On March 2, Dr. Makandar had administered Covid 19 vaccine to the minister at his residence in Hirekerur. This incident led to an uproar as there is no provision to administer Covid 19 vaccine outside any health facility.
Now the state health commissioner Trilok Chandra has suspended the THO for violating the vaccination code.
