Security: Parappana Agrahara has turned into a virtual fortress with the the arrival of the high-profile inmate. However, the prison has a shortage of female personnel for her round the clock security and it is reported indicate that the the AIADMK supremo, lost her cool when a senior male prisons official visited her cell during Saturday night rounds as part of the increased security.
The 66-year-old AIADMK supremo has been given Z-plus security cover and even prison officials below the rank of inspector will need permission from the chief superintendent or DIG to visit her cell.
All prison officials on duty have been asked to switch off their mobiles to ensure no information pertaining to Jayalalithaa is leaked to the media.
Kannada: Doctors are monitoring the supremo's health condition - she suffers from diabetes and hypertension. Reportedly she spoke in fluent kannada to them and they were pleasantly surprise.
