Bengaluru: Row over fees between private schools and the parents of students continue. Many parents have been seeking information from the schools after the government ordered to cut down the fees by 30%.

The schools have informed the parents to wait as they are planning to take legal action.

An association called Voice of parents informed that they will be submitting a memorandum to the education department for noncompliance with the government order.

Shakeel from Voice of parents told the Times of India that the government passing the order was a great thing but they should make sure that it is implemented also.

Many parents in distress said that the school makes up lame excuses when asked about the revised fee structures. Last year the government announced that private schools can take up to 70% of fees for this academic year but they should not collect fees for other purposes like development.

V Anbukkumar, commissioner, public instruction, said that details of the grievances by the parents will be revealed by Wednesday. Times of India reported that he said the list is ready and that a Committee will be set up at all DDPIs where parents can report complaints
