Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has said that temples, churches and mosques will all be allowed to open from June 1 onwards.
Though the announcement was made on Tuesday evening in this regard, confusions persistent when a few leaders said that permission has been given only to temples to open, while there is no clarity on whether churches and mosques could open.
However, clearing the air, the CM himself said that the rule is applicable to all the centres of worship.
Meanwhile, the CM also said that a letter has been written to the Prime Minister seeking permission for opening of hotels, which are now running only parcel services.
“There is immense pressure to open the hotels and restaurants. Lot of people from other places are coming to Karnataka and they are largely dependent on hotels for food. We are awaiting response from the centre,’ said the CM.
