Bengaluru: With the Election Commission of India (ECI) withdrawing the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), the various state government departments returned to functioning normally. On Thursday, the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) notified the transfer guidelines of the teachers.
According to the notification, the process will start on June 12. The applications submitted by the teachers last year (2018-10) will be taken up for the transfer.
According to the authorities, the teachers will be allowed to edit their applications beside allowing the fresh applications by other teachers.
It can be recalled that last year CM HD Kumaraswamy cancelled the teachers’ transfer process abruptly following the complaints of the teachers on the strict rules imposed by the department.
