Bengaluru: Sumalatha Ambareesh’s dinner with Mandya Congress leaders at a city hotel on Tuesday night led to a new political storm in the state. Presence of a Congress leader very close to former CM Siddaramaiah is expected to lead to a new controversy.
According to the CCTV footage, which was collected from the hotel dining hall by the JDS activists and later released to the media, Sumalatha was found holding discussion with Congress leaders from Mandya including N Cheluvaraya Swamy, PM Narendra Swamy, KB Chandrasekar, Ganiga Ravi, and HC Balakrishna.
Producer Rockline Venkatesh has also attended the dinner. Another important leader present in the dinner was Malavalli Shivanna, a close associate of former CM, Congress leader Siddaramaiah.
The JDS leaders alleged that this dinner party revealed the true colours of the Congress leaders. “All these leaders are considered close to former CM Siddaramaiah. So we doubt the honesty of our alliance partner,” said a JDS leader from Mandya.
