Bengaluru: A 28 year old astrologer has been detained by Rajagopal Nagar police for cheating a college student of godl worth Rs 1.5 lakh promising her that she would more marks in the exams.
Chandana, a PU II student of RPA PU College had scored less marks in the exams. Disappointed by her performance she contacted an astrologer who had given an advertisement in the newspaper.
She decided to meet astrologer Ganesh and seek his help to score more. Reportedly, Ganesh invited the girl to his place to discuss her problems. Chandana took a 57-gram gold chain without informing her parents and gave it to the man, who told her to call him on the phone the next day.
But every time she tried contacting him, astrologer’s phone was switched off. The girl panicked and told her parents, who registered a complaint at Rajagopal Nagar police station.
