Bengaluru: A viral trend, inspired by American rapper Drake’s latest song ‘In My Feelings’ has seen several youngsters, including celebrities across the globe accepting the ‘Kiki challenge’ by imitating the dancer in the clip and uploading the same on the social media. Considering the perils involved in the dare, police across the world have warned of stern action against those caught in the act.
The “Kiki challenge”, also known as the “In My Feelings challenge”, involves jumping out of a moving car on to the street and dancing alongside it to Drake’s hit In My Feelings, while the car continues moving.
The challenge turned into a sensation after internet comedian Shiggy posted a video of himself performing to the song on to Instagram. Later, celebrities such as Hollywood actor Will Smith, Bollywood star Varun Dhawan, actress Nora Fatehi, Adah joined the bandwagon of those taking up the challenge. However, in their cases the car was stationary.
Meanwhile the Bengaluru police, which so far has not come across any case of the KikiChallenge in the city have taken a cue from the London police, U.P. police, and net-savvy Mumbai Police and has issued a warned of stern action against anyone trying to copycat the rapper saying they hadn’t been Kiki-challenged in the IT capital so far but “we want to nip it in the bud before it happens.”
