State to fix CoWIN portal issue; to have its own version

Bengaluru: Chief Minister B.S Yediyurappa said that the state will come up with its own version of the CoWIN portal.

Speaking to media persons on Thursday May 13, the CM said the present CoWIN application has certain limitations on choice where one can choose to get vaccinated, which is leading to problems at vaccination centers. And therefore to manage vaccination process better, we decided to make use of technology to come up solution, he stressed.

The state’s new portal is likely to limit people from one locality to book slots in another locality. Further, the vaccine programme for the 18-44 age group will also be relaunched after fixing this issue.
