Bengaluru: The state reported 3,648 new COVID-19 cases and 72 deaths on Monday, July 20. This brings the total number of confirmed novel coronavirus infections to 67,420 and death toll to 1,403.
Bengaluru Urban alone reported 1,452 cases and Ballari reported 234 new infections. Bengaluru Rural reported 208 new cases.
While 730 people were discharged after making a full recovery from the disease today, 580 people are being treated in ICUs across the state.
The breakup of the fresh cases are: Dharwad (200), Vijayapura (160), Mysuru (149), Kalaburagi (124), Udupi (98), Dakshina Kannada (89), Uttara Kannada (78), Davanagere (73), Hassan (67), Koppala (62), Belagavi (60), Chikkaballapura (60), Ramanagara (56), Tumakuru (55), Bagalakote (54), Chamarajanagara )49), Yadagir (43), Chikkamagaluru (43), Mandya (41), Kolar (41), Haveri (36), Gadag (31), Chitradurga (29), Bidar (26), Shivamogga (19), Kodagu (8), and Raichur (3).
There are 42,216 active COVID-19 cases in the state. So far, a total of 23,795 have been discharged. Additionally, six people have died of non-COVID causes.
