Bengaluru: The state reported 36 positive COVID-19 cases on Saturday, May 9 morning. Three of the new cases have been reported from the Bantwal taluk in the Dakshina Kannada district.
With these 36 new cases, the state’s tally has jumped to 789, which includes 30 deaths, one non-COVID caused death and 379 discharges.
Of the new cases, 12 are from Bengaluru Urban (five of whom are contacts of the migrant worker Patient 419), seven from Bhatkal (six of whom are secondary contacts of Patient 659), six from Davanagere (five are contacts of Patient 651 and one is a secondary contact of Patient 553), three each from Bidar, Dakshina Kannada (contacts of Patient 578), and Chitradurga (all of whom have Travel History to Ahmedabad, Gujarat).
Tumakuru (contact of BBMP containment zone ward no. 135) and Vijayapura have reported one case each.
