Bengaluru: In a big relief, Serum Institute of India has supplied 2 lakh doses of Covishield to the state on Tuesday May 18.

Health Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar confirmed the arrival of new stock of vaccine. The stock will be utilised to provide vaccine for the people above 45 years.

For the vaccination of people in the age group of 18 and 44 years, the state government has placed orders for 1 crore Covaxin and 2 crores of Covishield vaccines.

It can be recalled that Covid – 19 vaccination drive derailed in the recent days due to the shortage of vaccines.
