Bengaluru: The state government has decided to launch the free meal (dasoha) programme in all the temples of the state which are financially stable.

According to Rudrappa Lamani, state muzarai department minister, a government order has been issued in this regard already. “We have directed all the temple authorities to keep Dharmastala as the role model for this scheme. As per the decision, those temples which are financially sound and receiving good revenue from devotees are directed to launch the scheme,” he said.

He also informed that he is under immense pressure from the muzarai temple managements over increased grant in aid for developmental works. “I will seek additional financial allocation from the CM,” he said.
