State govt fills eight board vacancies to make way for rebel MLAs

Bengaluru: With the intention of quelling rebel activities within the party ahead of the crucial by election, the state government appointed 8 BJP leaders, from the constituencies of the disqualified MLAs, to board positions.

Sharat Bachchegowda has been appointed as the chairman of the prestigious Karnataka Housing Board. He has been appointed to clear the way for rebel MLA MTB Nagaraj.

Nandish Reddy of KR Puram has been appointed as the BMTC chairman. Ashok Pujari from Gokak has been appointed as the border committee chairman while HR Gaviyappa from Hospet has been appointed as the chairman of the small scale industries corporation. Other leaders including Raju Kage, VS Patil, and UB Banakar have also been appointed to various board and corportation positions.
