State govt decides to hand over IMA Jewels Scam to CBI

Bengaluru: Considering the seriousness of the ‘IMA Jewels Scam’, the state government has decided to hand over the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy confirmed this on twitter, on Tuesday, June 11. HDK has stated that considering the seriousness of the IMA company scam and the situation of the investors, the government had decided to hand over the case to the CBI.

Kumaraswamy has stated that he has already discussed about the case with Home Minister M B Patil, and action will be taken against those who are proven guilty.

MD and CEO of IMA Jewels, Mohammed Mansoor Khan has gone missing after sending a recorded audio stating that he is going to end his life, frustrated by the bribe seeking officials and politicians. Thousands of investors are affected by the scam.

Meanwhile, the police have formed four teams to trace the whereabouts of Mohammed Mansoor Khan.
