Bengaluru: The State Election Commission has decided to hold elections for over 17 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), including Mangalore City Corporation, by the end of this year.
The Commission has instructed the DCs of respective districts, where these ULBs are located, to start the arrangements.
According to authorities, petitions regarding reservation in ULBs have been deposed by the state’s High Court and close on the heels of this development, the commission has decided to start the election process.
The election for Davangere City Corporation will also be conducted along with Mangaluru City Corporation.
