Bengaluru: With the state budget slated to be announced on International Women’s Day, CM BS Yediyurappa promises to lay a focus on women’s welfare.
The State budget for 2021-2022 will be announced on March 8 which coincides with International Women’s Day. The budget will have a great deal of emphasis on women welfare, in addition to irrigation, Bengaluru development, and tourism.
Due to revenue shortage, CM held several meetings with ministers, stakeholders, senior officials, and the industry representatives, and finalised the budget on March 5.
CM promised to deliver a better budget than last year and said that the finalised budget has been sent for printing.
All these years, the budget was presented at 11 am. But for the first time, it will be delayed by one hour and five minutes. CM is expected to announce the budget at 12:05 pm.
