Bengaluru: According to the Bharatiya Janata Party sources, State BJP President B S Yeddyurappa is likely to step down from the post of state president.
The party sources have said that a meeting has been called on June 13 by Union Home Minister and BJP Chief Amit Shah and the change in state BJP presidentship would be discussed.
The party high command has invited all of its state presidents, general secretaries and office bearers for the meeting. The meeting will be held in the national capital.
It is assumed that BJP leader Aravind Limbavali is likely to replace BSY. However, on the other hand, the Rashtriya Swayamasevak Sangh (RSS) has also suggested several names.
This decision follows BJP’s policy of retiring the leaders who are above 75 from active politics and also it does not permit one leader to handle two posts.
