Bengaluru: Primary and Secondary Education Minister Suresh Kumar announced on Friday, that students from containment zones will not be allowed to appear for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exams which are scheduled to begin on June 25.
According to a report by The Indian Express, the Minister said that the exam dates will be be announced later and will be held alongside the supplementary exams.
He assured that the exams will be considered a fresh attempt and that fresh sets of hall tickets and marks cards will be issued for such candidates. A notification in this regard is expected.
The report added that 8,48,192 students have registered for the examination.
It can be recalled that on May 18, the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) announced the new dates for the pending SSLC exams; they will be held from June 25 to July 4.
