Bengaluru: It seems there is no end to the allegations of corruption in the power centre of the state i.e. Vidhana Soudha itself. In a first of its kind decision, the assembly speaker S Ramesh Kumar ordered an inquiry against state legislative assembly secretary S Murthy over the allegation of corruption.
In his order, Ramesh Kumar directed the state chief secretary T M Vijabhaskar to hold an inquiry from an officer above the secretary rank against the assembly secretary S Murthy. He has forwarded a letter written by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) ADGP in this regard.
According to the sources, this complaint is related to awarding the canteen contract to a person by violating all the rules and the procedures.
S Murthy is mired in a number of controversies including celebrating his birthday at the Vidhana Soudha.
