Bengaluru: Amidst the ongoing war of words between the ruling alliance partners – JDS and Congress – JDS supremo and former prime minister H D Devegowda stated that former AICC president Sonia Gandhi has given in writing that H D Kumaraswamy will be the Chief Minister of Karnataka for five years.
Speaking to reporters at his residence on Saturday, May 18 evening, HDD stated that AICC president Rahul Gandhi had also given the same promise in writing. “So there is no question of a change in the CM for five years,” he said.
“A few people are creating unnecessary controversies but the Congress high command is firm in its decision so, the activists need not bother,” he said.
Stating that HDK is running a good government he said, “This government is committed to the overall development of the state. The people must show confidence in us.”
