Bengaluru: All India Congress Committee (AICC) chairman Sonia Gandhi is all set to convene a meeting of the Congress leaders from the state on Friday at 11 am at her official residence in the national capital. It is said that the meeting will be convened to prepare the party for the upcoming local body polls and also in the event of a possible mid-term election.
According to the sources, all the senior leaders including former CM Siddaramaiah, HK Patil, Mallikarjun Kharge, and others are invited for the meeting, which may start at 11 am and continue till the evening.
It is said that Sonia Gandhi has asked the party leaders to come out with a road map for the party revival in the state in the next five years. She intimated that the party organisational structure will be finalised in the meeting including opposition leader.
