Bengaluru: Congress leaders Ramalinga Reddy and Dhruv Narayan were, on Wednesday, appointed as working presidents for the party’s Karnataka unit. The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) already has two working presidents in Eshwar Khandre and Saleem Ahmed.
Reddy, MLA of the BTM Layout, and Narayan, who is a former MP from Chamarajanagar were appointed by AICC president Sonia Gandhi with immediate effect, according to a statement released by party general secretary organisation KC Venugopal.
Over the past few months, the Congress party has been making active efforts to revive its presence in Karnataka after they saw back-to-back defeats in major elections.
