Bengaluru: CM HD Kumaraswamy is likely to direct social welfare minister S Puttaranga Shetty to resign from the state cabinet following the ACB FIR against unknown persons in connections with cash seizure from his office typist.
According to the sources, on Wednesday evening ACB officers informed CM HD Kumaraswamy that as the cash seizure case has been transferred to the ACB, they need to investigate the minister. “As accused typist Mohan SJ has confessed that it was corruption money, both CM HDK and minister Shetty are under pressure,” said sources in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
“The CM is likely to ask Shetty to submit resignation before appearing for the ACB investigation,” added sources
