Bengaluru: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has picked up five people following a detailed inquiry into the CD scandal sought by former water minister, Ramesh Jarkiholi.

The team picked up five people for questioning, including a government school teacher from Kanakpura. Three of the detained are reporters from local tv channels, and the fourth detained member is from a web channel and hails from Chikkamgaluru. The teacher supposedly has links with the woman seen in the footage, and who alleges to have been sexually exploited.

The team brought the five people to the Criminal Investigation Department(CID) headquarters on Palace Road. No one has been arrested as of yet as no FIR has been registered.

Reportedly, two of the detained have admitted to editing the CD in their office. According to some sources, two more men will be picked-up in Andhra Pradesh for questioning.

Police officials said that the video was posted on social media four hours before Kallahali filed the complaint. They added that the culprits managed to hide the origination server, and also were successful in altering the IP address.
