Bengaluru: Former minister and Congress leader DK Shivakumar was brought to Ram Mohan Lohia Hospital in New Delhi following some minor health complications, on Thursday. Close on the heels of this development, when Karnataka state Congress leader and former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah went to meet the party colleague, the ED reportedly did not allow him to meet DKShi. DKShi is suffering from food poisoning, high sugar, and low BP. The ED officials are monitoring him carefully, it is said.
Shivakumar is in ED’s custody since September 3 in connection with a money laundering case and on Thursday, Siddaramaiah along with Shivakumar’s brother, DK Suresh, KPCC Chief Dinesh Gundurao and others reached RML hospital to meet the Karnataka lawmaker. However, they were denied permission and it is now said that the state Congress leaders are expected to meet DKShi today noon at the courtroom, where his bail application will be heard.
Shivakumar had also sought extra time to meet his family and lawyers as against the 30 minutes slot provided to him by the court.
On Monday, a special court had refused to increase the time. Shivakumar will be under ED custody till September 13 and his bail application too will be heard on the same day. Aishwarya, Shivakumar’s daughter appeared at the ED office, on Thursday. for questioning in connection with the money laundering case in which Kumar is an accused.
