Siddaramaiah becomes second CM of K’taka to complete full tenure in post

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has had a fruitful tenure with several firsts to his credit. With only five months in hand before the state runs into an assembly poll, the CM is bagging yet another glorious achievement.

Believe it or not, Siddaramaiah is the second Chief Minister of Karnataka to have completed his tenure in the post.

Devaraj Urs, had earlier completed his full tenure as CM of Karnataka between 1972-77.

However, Siddaramaiah is said to be the first CM to have achieved this in the last 40 year history of Karnataka.

The state has a long list of governments that toppled midway due to in-fights and bad management. In 1972, Devaraj Urs gave the efficient administration that the state was longing for. Like Urs, even Siddaramaiah hails from backward community. Both have left their mark by bringing in several pro-people schemes.

Anna Bhagya, Shadi Bhagya, ksheera Bhagya, Indira Canteen, Indira Clinics are only a few programmes of Siddaramaiah government that have impacted lives.
