Bengaluru: State police are on high alert as ground-breaking ceremony for the new Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will be laid on August 5, in Ayodhya by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Today at 11.30 am, a video conference of senior officials is planned to discuss the issue. All senior police officers and district-level officers will participate in this,” explained sources in the state police.
According to the sources, ADGP (law and order) Amar Kumar Pandey has already discussed the arrangements required for August 5. He has asked all the SPs to make elaborate arrangements to ensure law and order situation.
“The department fears that a few anti-social elements may take disadvantage of the issue and try to create social unrest,” informed sources in the state police department.
