Bengaluru: Former major irrigation minister Ramesh Jarakiholi alleged that he was blackmailed for Rs.5 crores in the name of the CD.
Jarakiholi who recorded his statement at the Sadashivanagar police station of the city informed that by using the fake CD, the team started blackmailing him.
“First they contacted my close friend, former MLA of Nelamangala M.V. Nagaraj, and started the blackmail tactic,” he alleged.
He also alleged that the miscreants used this fake CD to destroy his political career and make easy money. He requested the police to initiate stern action against the accused.
According to the sources, Jarakiholi expressed doubt over the political conspiracy behind this fake CD.
