Bengaluru: Senior Kannada actor ‘Sanketh’ Kashi passed away on Saturday evening. He was 50. He has acted in more than 140 films.
He cherished silver screen mainly in comedy characters. He shot to popularity after he donned a comedy character ‘Ulta Palta’ sharing equal screen presence with Ramesh Arvind. Veteran Director and actor late Shankar Nag was his mentor and he had enjoyed good number of roles in all his movies.
Kashi died in a private hospital due to multi-organ failure at Moodalapalya, which is located nearby his residence.
According to sources, Kashi had capped a role in Puneeth Rajkumar starer “Raja Kumara” and had finished his part of shoot.
Film fraternity has condoled his death.
