Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, on Thursday, January 16, spoke about the incident between himself and Panchamasali Mutt seer Vachanananda a few days ago.
As per reports, the CM released a press note stating that the Swamiji’s statement is natural and that there is no need for further discussion on the matter.
He said that the Government will face pressure from various communities. “The responsibility of taking along all communities rests on my shoulders,” he said in the statement.
“All seers and saints treat me affectionately. I have respect for all of them,” he added.
Speaking about the seer’s “threats”, the CM said, “I believe in Basavanna’s vachanas, ‘scolders are also my relatives.”
He then apologised for his reaction saying, “If someone has been hurt by my remark on that day, please pardon me.”
