Bengaluru: The Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is investigating the brutal murder of journalist, activist Gauri Lanesh has two officials from the Scotland Yard police, London. According to the sources in the SIT, both the officials joined the team on Thursday.

The SIT had written to the Scotland Yard police last week seeking their help in the ongoing investigation. Both these officials are helping the SIT staff in their effort to gather evidence.

It can be recalled that even in the M M Kalburgi murder case, Scotland Yard police had helped the CID police in the collection of documents beside helping them to find out the revolver module.

“On Thursday, both the officers visited the crime scene with the SIT police. They held a discussion with senior officers on the various investigation angles,” sources confirmed.

Meanwhile, the SIT officers are verifying the incoming and outgoing calls of around 10 lakh mobiles beside subjecting rowdy elements for interrogation. “Property dispute angle too has come to prominence now,” sources said.
