Bengaluru: Labour leader, S Varalakshmi who is known for her struggles for the cause of labourers will be the CPM candidate from the Chikkaballapura constituency.
She will face former CM, Veerappa M Moily of Congress, former minister Bachche Gowda of BJP and C S Dwarakanath of BSP.
Party leader GV Shrirama Reddy made an announcement in this regard.
He informed that Varalakshmi will fight for the cause of the people and the labourers who are in large number in the constituency. “We want to send a strong message to all the parties by fielding her,” he said.
“For the first time we are fielding a woman candidate from the constituency,” he said.
