Bengaluru: The RSS leaders opine that only Narendra Modi could help Karnataka BJP to emerge victorious in the upcoming Assembly elections. Though the party president Amit Shah has given suggestions for strengthening the party, the groundwork is not up to the mark, stated sources.
The RSS leaders raised some objections regarding the working style of state leaders, during the RSS and BJP Coordination Committee meeting held at Rashtrothana Parishat at Thanisandra. In Gujarat, for the Assembly elections, BJP had to depend on the popularity of Narendra Modi at the last minute. It was because of his popularity that in spite of strong competition from Congress and other parties, BJP retained power in Gujarat. The situation is not different in Karnataka, they said.
There is no coordination between BJP and RSS in the state as expected. Yeddyurappa alone led Nava Karnataka Parivarthana Yathre. In spite of Shah’s directions, leaders didn’t come together. If the situation continues, it would be difficult for the party, they believe.
Meanwhile, BJP has decided to utilise the service of party workers from different states like Maharashtra, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu to attract people speaking different languages.
