Bengaluru: A rowdy-sheeter committed suicide allegedly due to police torture here at Indiranagar station limits on August 19.
The deceased has been identified as Karthik.
Karthik was jailed in connection to murder attempt on his friend two years ago and was released recently.
It is learnt that Bharatinagar cops used to torture his sister and wife calling them to the station for not co-operating with inquiry after his release. It is suspected that Karthik might have taken the extreme step following police torture.
A complaint has been registered at Indiranagar police station.
