Bengaluru: Popular village stay programme of former CM HD Kumaraswamy is now adopted by revenue minister R. Ashoka. On February 20 he will stay in a village to understand the problems faced by the people.
He is staying at Hosahalli village in Doddaballapur taluk. He will arrive at the village in a bullock cart. Later he will visit the Dalit colony of the village, where he will hold a discussion with villagers about the problems they are facing.
In the evening he will meet artists and gather their opinions.
He will stay at the village hostel built for the students from the backward communities.
On the same day, DCs of all the districts will also launch the village visit initiative across the state. DCs are asked to visit a village every third Saturday to understand the problems of the villages.
