Randeep Singh Surjewala to review Cong’s GP election preparations on December 6

Bengaluru: All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala, who is also the party state in-charge will hold day-long district-wise review meeting on party’s preparedness for the upcoming Gram Panchayat election.

The review meeting will be held at palace grounds.

According to the Congress leaders KPCC president DK Shivakumar, former CM Siddaramaiah, veteran leader Mallikharjun Kharge and others will participate in the meeting. All the senior leaders from 30 district have been directed to attend the meeting with a report on the preparations done for the election at the village level.

The Congress, which is eyeing on getting back to power in the 2023 assembly election has decided to ensure that party will win maximum seats in the GP election, which is the first step towards power.

The GP elections will be held in two phases in the state, on December 22 and 27. The results will be out on Dec 30.
