Bengaluru: It is said that rebel leader Ramesh Jarakiholi has submitted the names of six Congress MLAs who are ready to quit the Congress with him.
According to the sources, Ramesh Jarakiholi sent the list of six MLAs who are ready to quit with him to BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa and with this BSY is likely to meet BJP national president Amith Shah after May 19 to discuss the issue.
“Ramesh informed BSY that only if around 10 MLAs quit JDS and Congress, a new government can be formed. He has adjusted six MLAs including himself while the BJP needs to convince another four MLAs,” said a BJP leader.
“All depends upon the Lok Sabha election results. If the BJP returns to power at the central on May 23, the coalition government will collapse the next day,” he said.
