Bengaluru: Moderate to heavy rain has been predicted in Coastal Karnataka and the Southern parts of Karnataka on Wednesday.
According to the IMD sources, depression has been created in the Bay of Bengal which has resulted in a system which is expected to cause moderate to heavy rainfall in Coastal and South Karnataka.
“Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu, Mysuru, Mandya, Chikkaballapur, Mysuru, Shivamogga and Bengaluru expected to receive heavy rainfall. Belagavi and surrounding areas expected to receive moderate rainfall,” informed an officer.
“In this post-monsoon season (starting from October 1), the state has witnessed -48% rainfall, which adversely affected the agricultural activities,” informed authorities.
