Bengaluru: In a big setback for the former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said no to any separate AHINDA rallies proposed by him. Instead, he asked Siddaramaiah to carry out rallies involving all factions.

According to the sources, Siddaramaiah proposed holding caste-based rallies across the state to garner the support for the party. His proposal had gained significance as two major caste of the state i.e., lingayats and Kurubas are holding agitation for reservation.

According to the sources, Rahul Gandhi asked Siddaramaiah to ensure that party will face the BJP without any factions. He advised Siddaramaiah to take all along with him.

Earlier, Siddaramaiah met another senior party leader AK Antony and discussed about party organisational matters.
