Bengaluru: Amid a political crisis in the state capital, the Public Works Department (PWD) minister HD Revanna, who is also the older brother of Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy visited the Chamundi hills in Mysuru and sought the blessings of the Goddess Chamundeshwari.

Ashada Friday is considered as auspicious and Revanna’s visit gained importance due to the political turmoil that the state and the coalition government is facing. Revanna offered special prayers and pujas to the goddess and prayed for the safety of the government.

Later, speaking to the reporters, he stated that the government is safe. “The Congress leaders are right in objecting the no-confidence motion without a whip. Speaker is functioning impartially,” he said.

He also stated that by the divine grace, the government led by his brother will complete its full term.
