Bengaluru: Even though PWD minister H D Revanna quit from his ministerial post to save his younger brother's government, on Wednesday, July 10 evening he transferred 284 engineers of the PWD department. He visited the Tirupati temple after signing the transfer orders.
According to sources in the department, those transferred include two superintendent engineers (SEs), 40 executive engineers (EEs), 34 assistant executive engineers (AEEs), 109 assistant engineers (AEs) and 99 junior engineers (JEs).
The BJP cried foul over the transfer orders and assured that the same would be cancelled.
As expected, the netizens expressed their anguish over the decision. "When his own brother's government is falling, Revanna is busy in transfers instead of trying to save the government," wrote Arun K S on his Twitter.
