Bengaluru: The coalition politics in the state has taken another interesting twist now. CM HD Kumaraswamy spoke to Congress leader, former CM and the chairman of the coordination committee Siddaramaiah over the phone on the war of words between JDS and Congress leaderships and requested Siddaramaiah not to continue the same. Siddaramaiah agreed to the same, but interestingly the conversation happened between the two leaders over mobilephone, even when the two were staying in the same hotel and on the same floor!
CM HD Kumaraswamy and Siddaramaiah are now camping at Hubblli and are staying in the same hotel, to campaign at Kundagol for the by election. When the war of words escalated, sources said that the two leader declined meet each other and speak.
“Instead, CM HDK spoke to Siddaramaiah over the phone. He requested Siddaramaiah not to escalate the situation saying both the leaders are like brothers,” said sources.
Siddaramaiah confirmed the phone call by CM HDK, but declined to elaborate or share the details.
