Bengaluru: This is now the second day since the students of Vishveshwaraya Technological University (VTU) have been on strike demanding a relaxation in the carry-over system.
The students have said that they would continue to protest until the management decides to change it rules regarding the matter. At least a one-time examination or a further relaxation in the promotion norms are the demands.
Previously, VTU has already relaxed its rules considering the final year admission but the students are demanding further relaxation and at least a last chance from the authorities.
The students question that when there are no promotion norms in top institutes like IIT, IIM and IISc then why was VTU sticking to it.
