Bengaluru: Following a scuffle between the BJP and Congress leaders inside the Vidhana Soudha on Wednesday, July 10 evening, city police commissioner Alok Kumar imposed prohibitory orders around the building starting from 6 AM on Thursday till Sunday evening.
According to police sources, this order was issued following a mild lathi charge outside the Vidhana Soudha premises over 'Operation Kamala'.
"On Wednesday evening, Chikkaballapura MLA Sudhakar was roughed up by a few people. He was taken to the Rajbhavan under police protection. To ensure that such incidents will not repeat, we issued prohibitory orders," informed the police.
Meanwhile, police security has been beefed up across the city with a number of political leaders expected to arrive today.
