Pro-DKShi protest fails to make noise; HDD and sons distance themselves from stir

Bengaluru: Contrary to the expectations, the DKShi supporters’ rally failed to have any impact on the normal life in the capital city. Even though it was claimed that over 1 lakh supporters of DKShi will turn up, it is said that not even 40,000 people came out on the streets.
As per the original timings announced by the organisers, it was stated that the rally will begin at 10.30 am. But now it has been postponed to 12.30. Leaders are seen delivering speeches in support of DKShi to keep the participants engaged.
Though it was initially said that JDS leaders and party workers will be part of the protest, absence of former CM HD Kumaraswamy and JDS Supremo HD Devegowda was something that left eyebrows raised.
In fact, HDK had taken to twitter to post his feelings with regard to DKShi’s arrest and had also stated that he will stand by the Congress leader.
According to the sources, HDK is looking for the BJP’s help to come out of the IMA scam mess which is now being investigated by the CBI. “He doesn’t want to anger Amit Shah. That is the game,” alleged a Congress leader.
