Bengaluru: Preparatory meeting of the like-minded organisations will be called at 4 pm on Saturday over the Prathirodha Samavesha (resistance convention) organised on September 12 in protest against the murder of journalist, activist Gauri Lankesh. This meeting will be held at Jnana Jyothi auditorium of the city.
The meeting is expected to pass several resolutions including early arrest and conviction of accused beside action against right wing extremists in the state. Various left, dalit and liberal organisations are participating in this meeting, which will finalise the various preparations of the resistance convention.
Resistance Convention will be held at Central College ground of Kalidasa Road of the city on September 12. Prominent personalities from across the country are expected to take part in this convention, which is going to chart out agitation against right wing extremism in coming days.
It can be recalled that Gauri Lankesh was brutally murdered on September 5 infront of residence in RR Nagar of the city by a bike borne criminal. In the absence of any concrete Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by the state government is struggling to trace the culprits.
